Spooky season is around the corner and HOCO is almost here! Students will ask: Who is going to go? Who do I ask? How can I ask? 

Homecoming “prom-posals” have become the norm. Many students use handmade signs as creatively as possible. “I got the idea off of google and wanted to make something nice because I love her,” remarks sophomore Salvador Castillo. 

Sometimes the creativity comes in the form of knowing your potential date. An ironic statement, a bit of humor, a play on words, the use of an “inside” joke are always appreciated because these forms of flattery speak to the real person you are trying to ask.

Asking someone to the dance can always be nerve-wracking and the fear of rejection may lead to a total disaster, but if one will not ask, then all the efforts would have gone to waste. Subsequently, a lack of confidence with a touch of personal flair might enchant a potential partner to go!
