Eastmont High School boys soccer season tryouts are this week and it’s looking very challenging. This year we will have 3 teams; Varsity coached by Mr. Ortiz, Junior Varsity (JV) coached by Mr. Duffey , and the C team coached by Mr. Martinez. 

Players will be determined where they should be placed by the end of the week according to their skill level. The coaches also look for players who have a positive attitude towards your team. In order to participate you must be passing all your classes with a D or higher.

In order to grow at the sport you must be coachable and dedicated. Another thing you should be doing is to make sure you are making good decisions and not do things that lead to the wrong doing of your future as a student athlete.

Mr. Ortiz tells us, “If you are disappointed in yourself for not making the team you wanted, you gotta work harder. It eventually pays off.”
