Wishing Teachers and Staff a Happy Retirement!

Karen Rodriguez-Magallon, Reporter

As the end of the school year approaches, some of our Eastmont staff and teachers are retiring. As a concluding message, it is important to acknowledge their hard work. Mrs. Leonard, a language teacher, Mr. Scott, an Anatomy and AP Biology teacher, Mr. Frank, a custodian, and Mrs. Walker, a para-educator/receptionist are all in their last year here at the High School.

Mrs. Walker, who’s been serving in the main office for 30 years is excited but ultimately sad to leave the school, stating, “It’s like family”.

Mrs. Leonard, a language teacher who has been working here for 38 years can’t wait to spend time outside with grandchildren and to continue to learn.

She states, “I feel so blessed to have worked with talented colleagues and students. Contacts from my students who are now around the world continue to highlight my days. It has been a great honor to work with bright and inquisitive minds that strive to collaborate and figure things out together.”

These incredible educators and staff have provided a safe and friendly space where students feel comfortable learning. Whether it be going to an Anatomy class or asking for any sort of help from a custodian, all of these fantastic people help make Eastmont the amazing place it is. Make sure to wish these teachers and staff a farewell and thank you for all their incredible help here at Eastmont High School.

Mrs. Leonard is located in room 711, Mr. Scott is in room 749, Mrs. Walker is in the main office, and Mr. Frank is usually around the school.
