As we all know winter break has come to an end, so I interviewed students in our school on how they spent their time. I interviewed 5 students named Cal Hoyt, Armann Punn, Nick Roy, Cal Kellenberg, and Braeden Barker.
My first interview was with Cal Hoyt. He stated “I kind of just layed low and dialed it back a bit. I Spent some time with my family and friends and overall had a solid break.” I then inquired about Hoyt’s New Year’s Eve and he said “It was lovely.”
Nick Roy was next on my list. Nick stated “I had a good break, I spent time in the gym getting ready for the second half of my season and skated a few times. Other than that though I didn’t do anything special.” When I asked about Nicks’s New Year’s Eve he said “I did nothing crazy, kind of just hung around.”
The next interview was with Armann Punn. Armann stated “Christmas break was awesome, I spent time with my family that came into town and enjoyed everybody’s company. Overall I had a nice time away from school and being able to just relax for a bit of time.” I then asked what Punn had gotten for Christmas and he said “I got a new hockey stick, a meat blanket, and Fortnite V-bucks.”
After Armanns interview was Cal Kellenberg (Sophomore). Kellenberg stated, “I spent a lot of time on the ODR (outdoor rink) with my friends, made a Tiktok, had some hot cocoa, and that’s about it”. Cal also stated “I got a nice pair of socks and a pack of golf balls for the summer” after I asked about his gifts for Christmas.
Lastly, I interviewed Brayden Barker (Sophomore). Barker said, “I went to a few Winterhawks games with the boys, spent some time with Mom and Dad, and sang Christmas carols next to the tree”. I then asked Brayden Barker what his favorite Christmas movie was and he said “The Grinch because he steals all the presents from the who’s in Whoville. I want to be just like him”.
Hopefully, everyone had a good break and refreshed for this last stretch of the semester. But now that we are all back in school, good luck with the rest of the year, and keep on working hard until the end of the semester.
