The Stanley Cup Playoffs are known as the most entertaining sports playoffs possible. There isn’t a sport that can compare to hockey playoffs. It is physical and will drain your body down so fast giving it your all. There are 4 rounds, 16 teams, and every round is a best of 7 series. If the losing season is over, who will win this year? With me today is Calvin Hoyt. He will be giving me his thoughts on this year’s playoffs.

“Every player is playing so much harder, and it is more physical and there is no time and space.” Cal says that playoffs are physical and he is saying that because it is true. People don’t know how competitive the game really is until you watch it.

Some people believe that the teams that make it to the playoffs are scripted.

Calvin’s thoughts were, “I think hockey is the toughest sport to have a script, Refs can definitely have a favorite team but it is highly unlikely for a script.” Cal says that it would be really hard for the NHL to be scripted so people say that it would be extremely hard for there to be a script.

The Stanley Cup is the toughest sport and the team that wins is the team that gets hot at the right time. “It has to be the right team, good goalie goal scorers have to show up, and physical guys have to be physical.” Calvin thinks that the right team has to show up. People realize that the team that wins is normally the best team but can very possibly be a team that gets hot at the right time especially in the net.

The Stanley Cup Playoffs are the most competitive, controversial games to be played. The physicality to the goals scored is a battle at all times, nothing is going to come easy. The Stanley Cup will live to be the greatest sports trophy a team can win.
