This is a feature on Mr. Howard, a wood shop teacher at EHS. I have asked Mr. Howard a few questions about his teaching career at EHS. Mr. Howard has been teaching for 33 years,
“Would be when everyone is working and doesn’t need me’’ are some of Mr. Howard’s teaching highs.
“Probably when there are needs and wants from me and there is only one of me” were some of the lows mr. Howard had as a teacher.
“Absolutely all the time”
“A student taught me you can not drill a hole with a spindle sander” is a lesson that Mr. Howard learned from a student.
“When I have advanced students learning advanced techniques” is one of Mr. Howard’s favorite teaching moment
“Always use practice pieces” is the best lesson Mr. Howard felt he’s taught someone.
“I’m going to site see on my road king (His Motorcycle), is what Mr. Howard plans to do after he retires
