Every year Eastmont High School puts together a yearbook to sell to students. The 2024-2025 yearbook cost is 60$. If you bought the yearbook on Wildcat Day it costs 58$ so you save two dollars which is not much difference.

Many people complain about the high prices of the yearbook as it is something that can have a lot of sentimental value to some people, especially seniors.

A sophomore student at Eastmont High School, Ximena Sanchez-Morales, said “It’s too expensive and it should go to $40. I feel like some kids don’t have enough money to buy the yearbook. And I feel like they will sell more yearbooks if it was cheaper.”

The Principal of Eastmont High School, Del Enders, wanted to share his opinion.

“I think 60 dollars is a fair price for a yearbook and some school districts can cost up to $100 and the size and quality of ours are well-sized and reasonable.”

According to YearbookLife, Yearbooks range from 10-100$ depending on the school. This is because schools use a hardcover on the yearbook so they can last longer rather than a paper cover. Yearly it costs $50,000 to produce a yearbook with a total of 244 pages. The Eastmont High School sells around 700 yearbooks. Said Mrs, Haberlock.
