In East Wenatchee, the weather is undergoing a delightful transformation as the air warms and the sun begins to shine more consistently, signaling the long-awaited end of the cold months and the vibrant onset of summer.
Temperatures have climbed to the pleasant low-70s, a striking improvement from last month’s cold weather of the low 50s. As the days grew longer due to the Daylight Savings that began in early March, many began to be excited for the upcoming season.
The rise in temperature signals the beginning of several events in school such as graduation, finals, prom and other highly anticipated events. It also marks the end of spring sports such as tennis, softball, soccer, and track and field. Additionally, it marks the approach of the end of the school year in just a few months. Spring officially began on March 20th, but the weather is already generating excitement for summer.
