For a long time, Canada and the United States have always contended in competition in every sport they share. From Baseball MLB, to even having one team in the NBA, it is all competitive and has fans roaring from the stands every time they play against each other.
But it’s most noticeably in the sole popular sport of hockey. The center stage of competitiveness from both sides.
For the second time in a row, Edmonton and Florida have proven themselves to be worthy of the Stanley cup they are battling for. With last season Florida having won the cup. And now they are back to defend their title of being the defending champs, while Edmonton is eager to get their first cup since 1990 after winning 5 cups between 1984 and 1990. They are also determined to break the 32 year drought of a team from Canada having not won a cup since 1993.
Things have already gotten insane with the finals. Florida and Edmonton going bar for bar, goal to goal, and stick from stick. They had tied it up in regulation periods. Before Edmonton had won it in overtime, ending in 4-3.
Can Edmonton steal the cup for Canada and finally break the 32 year drought? Or can Florida defend the cup, and win their second one in their 30 year existence?
That will come down to who can win it all.
