During the start of the new school year, Mr. Enders, our principal, introduced a new part of the schedule for Mondays – the grade check in between 2nd and 3rd period. The grade check is a 5-minute period in 2nd period where students use their Chromebooks to open Qmlativ and check their grades to see what’s missing and what they would need to finish. Mr. Enders wishes to change it slightly, saying, “I would make it longer so that the teachers had more time to have a one-on-one with the students that are struggling.” Mr. Weisbeck also explained why he liked the grade checks: “I like it. Mr. Enders sends out an online sheet showing what students need help – it’s hard work for Mr. Enders.” In the end, the grade check every Monday is extremely beneficial to both students and teachers. As always, stay wild, Eastmont High.

BIO
My name is Joshua Dodds and I’m 17 in 12th grade here at Eastmont High School. I chose journalism because I wanted to branch out to talk with people and break out of the social anxiety I have. I love reading books and playing video games, especially horror games. I occasionally play golf with my dad. Fall is my favorite season and war history is my favorite topic.
