How do seniors feel about graduation being a few months away?
March 2, 2022
Graduation is only a few months away and many seniors are either nervous or excited about graduation. I interviewed Seniors Sam Kalkowski and Alicia Sanchez- Sanchez to ask them how they feel about graduation being very soon.
Q: Are you excited to graduate?
- Sam: “I am very excited to graduate and move on with life, high school has been crazy and I’m definitely ready for some change.”
- Alicia: “I’m really excited to graduate, a little nervous but still excited.”
Q: How do you feel about graduation being only a few months away?
- Sam: “With graduation being a few months away, I’m nervous but thrilled to graduate with my classmates.”
- Alicia: “I feel nervous thinking about it only being a couple of months away, but I know I’m already ready.”
Q: What is something you’ll miss after graduation?
- Sam: “I will miss the social aspect of high school, it allows you to connect with many people you wouldn’t normally engage with and I think that is something I will miss the most once I graduate”.
- Alicia: “I don’t think I’ll miss much, but the thing I will miss for sure after graduating is being able to see friends at school everyday.”
Q: Do you have any advice for next year’s seniors?
- Sam: “For upcoming seniors, step out of your comfort zone. Be true to yourself and everything will come together.”
- Alicia: “The best piece of advice I could give for next year’s senior is to do all your homework and show up as often as you can because attendance really does matter.”
Q: Has this year been very stressful for you?
- Sam: “Dealing with covid-19 my entire high school career, this year has been less stressful than most. I’m just grateful to be in the position to graduate and start a new chapter in my life”.
- Alicia: “For me the beginning of the year wasn’t stressful, but once the second trimester starts and you have to start applying to colleges and scholarships it does get a bit more difficult.”
