EHS Students wearing bright green to celebrate Mr. Kimmel

On Thursday, February 23, 2023, Eastmont administrators, teachers, and students came together to celebrate a special teachers birthday.

Mr. Kimmel, an art teacher and assistant girls soccer coach at Eastmont high school was diagnosed with Lymphoma and is not able to be at the school. To keep him involved Eastmont had the theme of basketball games lime green, which is also when the Eastmont and Wenatchee high schools came together and wore green to support him. On Kimmel’s birthday I asked administrators at Eastmont what their favorite things about him were.

“ His energy, he always seems so happy no matter what is going on.” said Lupita Torres, a main office administrative assistant at Eastmont.

Mr. Kimmel is the kind of guy who no matter what is going on in his life, he makes sure everyone else is doing okay. He always asks how your days are going, if you got enough sleep, and more just to make sure that you are doing okay. He makes Eastmont a happier and more friendly place, all students and administrators love him and are rooting for him.
