The Eastmont Career Fair was held on February 19th. All Eastmont students were invited to come down and view the dozens of booths. The booths ranged from Military to Tech, and even slidewaters.
Garci Duncan, the visionary behind this event, went into the Journalism class to answer questions about the event. She was asked what she would say to the students who attended the career fair, and she suggested that students “take advantage of this.”
The idea of a career fair started in the Special Needs department. The kids there must decide what job they want to pursue. This idea has expanded to encompass the entire student body and is now a large event for students.
Overall, the career fair is an engaging and fun way for students to take the time to explore different opportunities for their future. This event has been happening for a few years now, with more and more booths coming every year.
