Tuesday, May 5th, was baseball’s senior night for the 5 senior players. Eastmont baseball celebrated the seniors Cal Hunter, Ian Baterman, Bodie Yale, Tyse Lewallen, and Colt Moser at the last home game of the season. The team had to follow up the celebrations with a tough matchup vs the Moses Lake Mavericks. Eastmont had a tough loss, 9-7, with a late-game comeback just not enough to pull it off. Highlights of the night for the Wilcats were a three-run home run by Izek Ontiveros, helping Eastmont start to rally back into the game. Eastmont will need a win to clinch the 2nd seed in the district to take on West Valley High School next week. Eastmont will look to bounce back on Friday’s doubleheader at Moses Lake.
