After last year’s losses to Wenatchee, the Eastmont baseball team bounced back this year with a dominating sweep. The Wildcats had a strong pitching outing in all three games, led by Bennett Hunter, Bodie Yale, and Jack Swedburg. Bennett started the series by dominating the Wenatchee lineup in game won supported by a strong 5th inning from the Wilcat lineup, leading to a big gap in the score, letting Bodie Yale come in to collect the save. In the second game of the series, things got off to a hot start as Izik Ontiveros started it off with hitting a two-run home run to give the Wildcats the early lead. Bodie Yale would shut down the Panthers lineup, struggling all night long. The Wildacts would claim a second victory heading into the third game, with Jack Swedburg taking the bump for game three. Jack would get off to a slow start but eventually catch stride piching late into the game. Eventually, Jaxson Euron and Eban Hensley would both come into the game, killing the Panthers hope of scoring. The Wildcats then had a big 7th innning getting runners on early and taking the win with a walk-off single by Bennett Hunter. The Wildcats will take on the Davis Pirates in a three-game showdown.
